"The weather for this year’s offshore leg from Charleston to New York is going to prove a fun chess match but a dicey one with luck being a part of the equation."

Brad Van Liew is the only American to complete three solo races around the world: The 1998/99 Around Alone (3rd, Open 50), 2002/03 (1st, Open 50) and 2010/11 Velux 5 Oceans (1st, Open 60).

Saturday May 17th - 2014 Atlantic Cup Leg 2 Race Start - 12 PM 

Come on down to Battery Park City to watch the 2014 Atlantic Cup restart from New York City to Newport. We’ll have live commentary and our race partners will be on hand with products, gear and more! The start line will be just off the southwest corner of North Cove Marina, and you’ll easily be able to view the fleet as they race south towards the turning mark before heading north to Newport.

May 16th – Networking Cocktail Party in the Marina – 5p-7p  Wrapping up the week’s events all attendees are invited to a cocktail party alongside the boats in North Cove Marina. Network with the speakers, attendees and sailors racing in the Atlantic Cup.Purchase Tickets Here

From sea level rise, to urban water infrastructure to delivering water to North China, Water Week will bring together leaders facing global water issues to form solutions. Topics on the transforming and evolution of the New York and New Jersey waterfront, reaching untapped potential for tourism in New York, and identifying new water innovations for the future will be covered. The event is full of networking opportunities and will take place on the Hornblower Hybrid in Pier 25.
