Charleston-Newport Start
May 25 - 12pm

The race starts at 12pm on Saturday, May 25th just off the Charleston Maritime Center. Come down to the Maritime Center and bid farewell to the teams as they head north for the 704-nautical mile run to Newport!

Leg 1 - Charleston to Newport

The longest stage of the Atlantic Cup is 704-nautical miles which takes teams out of Charleston Harbor where they have to decide whether the speed of their sailing warrants working east, offshore to the Gulf Stream or, if they are fast enough, taking the shorter, direct route to Cape Hatteras. Here's where knowing math and your boat play a big part in how you set up for the second part of the race; Cape Hatteras to the Newport finish.

Leg 1 Newport Finish
May 28-29

The first finishers will arrive into Newport sometime on Tuesday, May 28. The finish line is just off Fort Adams for all to see.

Follow the race tracker for the most up to date finish times.
